CEO and Illinois Football legend Isiah Williams tells the story behind his nickname “Juice.”

CHAMPAIGN, IL -- Audible Wealth Management CEO and Former Illinois quarterback Isiah “Juice” Williams appeared as a guest for the pregame "Big Noon Kickoff" show, where he cranked the air raid siren, an Illini tradition.

Williams famously threw four touchdown passes in 2007 to lead Illinois to a stunning 28-21 upset over No. 1 Ohio State.


 

Williams tells story of how he received the nickname, ‘Juice.’ “I actually got the nickname Juice before I got Isiah. I was a juicy baby. Yeah, I was 13 pounds and 8 ounces!”

During college football, Williams became the sixth player in Big Ten history and the first from Illinois to surpass 10,000 total yards of offense. He finished third all-time in passing yards at the school, fourth in completions, and eighth in rushing. He holds the Illinois offensive record with 10,600 total yards, easily surpassing the previous record of 8,880 yards.
